I like it. The headlights still staring at you with the hood open is a bit freaky though.

I’ve seen cars with taillights that work even when the trunk or hatch is open, is the idea that you can drive around with the hood open and still have the use of your headlights? In case your engine’s overheating or something. Of course the driver has to stick his head out the window while he’s driving as the view forward is completely obscured.
However, for safety reasons y
ou’re really supposed to keep your head inside the car.
This is a practice for daredevils only. Look what happened to Bill Jr.

I think the idea is simply one of simplicity. No wiring necessary in the hood.
